How it works
Open your link
You receive a personal assessment link by text or email. It works on any phone or laptop with a camera and microphone. Nothing to install.
Talk to the assessor
Fifteen minutes of everyday English: a short spoken interview, reading aloud, listening tasks, and two typed tasks. No specialist knowledge is needed.
Result and certificate
Your result appears on screen as soon as the assessment is scored, with a numbered certificate stating your CEFR level across all four skills.
All four skills, one sitting
The assessment tests everyday English only. It asks about you, your day and simple situations, because the question is whether you can converse, not what you know.
A recorded interview and scenario tasks
Repeat what you hear and answer spoken questions
Read aloud and answer questions on a short text
A short typed message, written under a timer
Mapped to the CEFR ladder
Results are graded against the Common European Framework of Reference, the international standard for language ability. B2 is the benchmark used for UK licence-linked security training, comparable to Functional Skills English Level 1.
A certificate that can be checked
Every certificate carries a unique number and states the holder, the date, the overall CEFR level and the level in each skill. Employers and training providers can verify any certificate with us free of charge, and the full evidence record behind every result is retained.
Assessed fairly, on the record
Every assessment is recorded, and every result is backed by a transcript and per-criterion scoring you can stand behind.
AI scores against published CEFR descriptors. People stay in the loop: borderline results are reviewed by a human assessor before they stand.
Any candidate can request a human review of their outcome, and retakes are available after 48 hours.
For training providers
Create assessment links from your dashboard in seconds and see every candidate's status, score and CEFR level in one place.
Each result comes with the recording, transcript, scoring rationale and identity photographs, ready for your records and your awarding organisation.
